Fake Money Stolen From Thai Bank - Yahoo! News

Fake Money Stolen From Thai Bank - Yahoo! News:
BANGKOK, Thailand - Three teenage robbers in Thailand have been arrested after a sharp-eyed street vendor noticed they were trying to spend fake money ? that had been stolen from a bank ? police said.

The two 15-year-old boys and a 16-year-old girl broke into the Siam Commercial Bank in the seaside resort of Pattaya early Monday, making off with a bundle of notes and mobile telephones, said police Maj. Sutham Chaosithong.

But the teens' haul also included a stack of fake bank notes, Sutham said.

Branch manager Kitiphol Kramwong said the bank had detected 30 fake notes in the past week, marked them as such, and left them in an easy-to-access drawer ? which robbers had pilfered. It was not clear whether they realized they had stolen fake money.

While police were inspecting the scene of the crime, they were told that vendors at a nearby market had caught the three teenagers trying to buy goods with forged money, Sutham said Tuesday.

The young suspects have since been detained at a social welfare detention center pending a juvenile court ruling on the case, he said.

`Bigfoot' dipercayai wujud di hutan Johor

JOHOR Bahru 23 Dis.

- Bernama

The Star Online : DVM launches Genico broadband telephony

The Star Online : TechCentral - Malaysia Technology:
DVM Technology Bhd has come up with a new broadband telephony solution known as Genico Broadband Telephony, which they claim is the first complete class of carrier-grade broadband Internet Protocol (IP) telephony solution suite.

Although it has been in service for several months, DVM only officially launched it last week.

They are offering the solution suite to telcos, mobile operators, network service providers and Internet service providers in various countries.

DVM Technology executive director Chen Chee Peng said that the suite is complete because it comes with back-end systems, middleware and front-end clients.

?Being complete is a very important distinction in the telco industry as other solutions are focused only on the back-end or front-end,? he continued, adding that this contributes to efforts in branding Malaysia as a technology exporter.

He claims that the suite, which uses globally accepted communication standards like Session Initiated Protocol (SIP) RFC3261 and Internet Protocol Multimedia Services (IMS), can be used like a ?plug-in? while preserving existing telco infrastructures.

?The suite is interoperable with major types of SIP-compliant voice gateways in the market. This speaks enormous volumes about its ability to fit in any telco's infrastructure,? said DVM chief technology officer Owen Chen.

For consumers, DVM demonstrated their end-user application LiveContact using Jaring as the service provider to show it can be used to enable two-way voice and video communication with most standard communication devices.

?LiveContact enables voice calls to be made or received from PCs, Global System for Mobile (GSM), and fixed-line phones. In addition, it offers voice and video conferencing between PCs, PDAs, GSM and fixed-line phones,? Owen said.

For example, a person using a PC can call someone on mobile phone and vice-versa ? if either device has a camera, then voice conferencing can also be enabled.

LiveContact is only available for Windows-based PCs currently, but DVM plans to release versions for PDAs and 3G phones next year.

Some of our specialized searches can deliver a subset of results at the top of the page which highlight the most relevant information for that kind of query. For example, a stock quote search will yield a chart at the top of the results. Or look for a current film and see theatre showtimes up front. In this same vein, now you can search for a popular musical performer and often Google will show some information aboutthat artist (cover art, reviews, and music store links where you can download or buy). Right now this feature works best for artists popular in the U.S., but we plan to expand it.

"kenapa kamu menyanyi meniarap? tadi terlentang?" Jawab pesakit mental tu.....

"Tadi SIDE A...ini SIDE B lah pulak...."

Ramai kawan2 aku yg tinggal area tu cuti bencana. Kesian pun ada, sebab tahu2 je lah bila banjir ni, bukan sedikit barang yang rosak. Setakat perabot tu boleh tahan lagi. Barang elektrik yg jadi kegunaan harian ni, rosak, susah juga. Kemusnahan berlaku di mana2. Tempat tinggal aku buat masa ni masih selamat.

Setting up an auto-responder in Outlook Express

Here are some instructions and tips that should help you set it up.

There are three parts to this process.

1. Create the response message.
2. Create an Outlook Express rule.
3. Link the message to the rule.

Let's create the message first.

The easiest way to do this is to use Notepad in your Accessories folder (START- Programs- Accessories- Notepad).
Open the program, click "File" menu and then click "New".
The type in the response that you want to be emailed while you are away.
Write something like: "Hi and thanks for your e-mail. I am out of the office between (type in the dates you will be away). I won't be checking e-mail during that time. Rest assured that I have received your e-mail and it is safely in my inbox. I'll get back to you as soon as possible after my return."

Next you'll want to save the auto-response file to your hard drive. Let's call it "outofoffice" and place it in a folder called "email-files" on your main hard drive.

At the top of the window where you created the response e-mail, click the "File" menu and choose "Save As". A dialog box will pop open.

Create a folder called "email-files" to keep the auto-responder e-mail file in. Click on the pulldown box at the top of the dialog box and choose the "C:" drive. Then click on the "create new folder" icon (which looks like a file folder with a star exploding on its edge) at the top of the dialog box. A highlighted folder named "New Folder" will appear. Rename it to "email-files" and hit your "Enter" key. Then double click on the newly created folder to go into it. Make sure it says "outofoffice" in the "File name" field. Click the Save button. Your auto-responder file is now ready to go.

Save your response message in this new folder. It will be created as a TXT file. So you'll end up with a file called outofoffice.txt in the "c:\email-files" folder.

A note to advanced users, you could also create the message in HyperText MarkUp Language as you would a Web page. Part two of the process involves creating an e-mail rule.

In Outlook Express, click the "Tools" menu, click "Message Rules" and choose "Mail". A four-part dialog box will pop up.

Under "1. Select Conditions for your rule" scroll to the bottom of the list and add a check mark to "For all messages".

Under "2. Select Actions for your rule", check off "Reply with message".

Under "3. Rule description" the follow items will now be listed:

Apply this rule after the message arrives:

For all messages
Reply with message

You'll notice that the word "message" in the last line is underscored. Click on it and a dialog box will open. In the "files of type box", choose "Text (*.txt)".

If all goes well your "outofoffice.txt" file will be there. If not click the pulldown menu and choose the "C:" drive, then go into the "email-files" folder. Select the "outofoffice.txt" file and click the "Open" button.

You'll go back to the "New Mail Rule" dialog box that you created the rules in. Under the item "4. Name of the rule" enter a description of what the rule does. You can simply call it "Out of the Office".

The rule is now set up. So click OK. You'll see the rule with a check mark next to it now listed in the "Message Rules" dialog box. When you're in the office uncheck that box. When you're heading out of the office put a check mark next to it to activate it.

To find the rule again and change it, from the "Tools" menu, choose "Message Rules" then "Mail". Select the rule by clicking on it and click the "Modify" button.

Just like you'd update an answering machine message, you also need to keep you auto-responder up to date.
