KOTA TINGGI: Khuatir dirinya menghidap penyakit chikungunya selepas terasa sakit sendi, seorang gadis mahu mendapatkan air penawar daripada seorang bomoh yang kononnya mempunyai kepakaran mengubati penyakit misteri secara rawatan tradisional.
Namun, kunjungan gadis berusia 19 tahun ditemani teman lelakinya berusia 25 tahun itu kira-kira jam 8 malam kelmarin bertukar menjadi igauan ngeri apabila dicabul bomoh terbabit, termasuk menggunakan lidah.
Lebih menjijikkan, bomoh durjana berusia 50 tahun itu dipercayai melakukan perbuatan mengaibkan itu dalam sebuah bilik di hadapan isterinya.
Mangsa sebelum itu ditemani teman lelaki dalam perjalanan dari Johor Bahru untuk menghantar adik di Bandar Tenggara kira-kira 43 kilometer dari sini, sebelum kedua-duanya bertolak ke Kluang.
Bagaimanapun, sebelum berlepas ke Kluang, lelaki itu yang bimbang teman wanitanya dijangkiti chikungunya kerana berasa sakit sendi mencadangkan mendapatkan air penawar daripada bomoh terbabit.
Ini kerana lelaki itu pernah ke rumah bomoh terbabit yang mendakwa boleh mengubati penyakit misteri secara rawatan tradisional.
Selain itu, bomoh berkenaan yang pernah bekerja sebagai pemandu lori dikenali ramai kerana dikatakan mampu menjalankan kerja menilik nasib dengan bayaran RM5 satu sesi dan membuat ramalan nombor ekor.
Difahamkan, sebelum dimulakan sesi rawatan, lelaki itu diminta menunggu di luar, sementara mangsa diminta tinggal sendirian dalam bilik oleh bomoh terbabit yang ditemani isterinya.
Mangsa mendakwa pasangan suami isteri itu melakukan kekerasan fizikal terhadapnya apabila ditarik dan dibaringkan ke lantai sebelum suspek melondeh seluar dalam dan mencabulnya.
Terkejut dengan insiden itu, mangsa meronta sebelum berjaya meloloskan diri keluar dari bilik itu dan hanya memaklumkan kepada teman lelakinya setibanya di Kluang.
Ketua Polis Daerah Kota Tinggi, Superintendan Osman Muhammad Sebot, mengesahkan menerima laporan daripada mangsa.
Katanya, kes itu disiasat mengikut Seksyen 354 Kanun Keseksaan jika sabit kesalahan boleh dipenjara 10 tahun, sebatan dan denda.
“Berikutan laporan itu, polis menahan seorang bomoh berusia 50 tahun dan isterinya berusia 45 untuk membantu siasatan,” katanya ketika ditemui di pejabatnya di sini, semalam.
Osman berkata, mana-mana mangsa yang pernah dicabul sebelum ini diminta tampil untuk membuat laporan dan membantu siasatan polis.

"KUALA LUMPUR: ‘Half-shell’ motorcycle helmets will be banned as they do not offer adequate protection.
Road Safety Department director-general Datuk Suret Singh said the half-shell helmets did not meet safety standards and the department was drafting a provision in the law to ban them.
“We are going to ban and confiscate them. They are not suitable for riding motorcycles,” he said.
He said the proposal would include seizing the helmets from the shelves of retailers found to continue selling them.
“These people are smart. Malaysians don’t read labels, and retailers place “Not motorcycle helmet” on the label and continue selling.
“They tell us it is a toy helmet. There is no such thing as a toy helmet. A helmet is a helmet.” he said.
Suret Singh also urged motorcyclists to change their helmets at least once every five years, as the material in the shell deteriorates over time.
“Look at the manufacturing date when buying helmets,” he said, adding that helmets that had endured impact or had been dropped should be replaced even more frequently.
Since the helmet-wearing awareness campaign kicked off in December 2006, Suret Singh said some 50,000 helmets had been given out, with almost 20,000 defective or old helmets collected in exchange.
“The helmet-wearing rate in rural areas had increased from 40% to 90%,” he said."

Kiss making first album since 1998NEW YORK (Billboard) – Kiss has reversed course and decided to hit the studio next year to record its first new album since 1998's "Psycho Circus."
"It's going to be very much a vintage, classic, '70s KISS album without much regard to what's happened since then; it's back to the roots," said singer/guitarist Paul Stanley, who will produce the album.
He told askmen.com in a recent interview that the band planned to hit the studio shortly.
In recent years, bassist Gene Simmons has been vocal about his lack of enthusiasm about making a new album, which he attributes to the state of the business.
"The record industry is in such a mess," he told Billboard last year. "There is nothing in me that wants to go in there and do new music. How are you going to deliver it? How are you going to get paid for it if people can just get it for free?"
It's unknown how Kiss will distribute the album, which will feature original members Stanley and Simmons alongside guitarist Tommy Thayer and drummer Eric Singer.
"Psycho Circus," a Mercury Records release nominally featuring original members Peter Criss on drums and Ace Frehley on guitar, debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, but quickly slid down the chart.
Following its 35th anniversary tour, which primarily played Europe this summer, Kiss is expected to hit North America at some point in 2009.
