*New Hires*

- Office Manager: Karen Prescott
- Director of Engineering: Mike Schroepfer

*Firefox 1.0.5 release feedback*

- API incompatibilities found in 1.0.5 affecting some extensions and web applications.
- Fixes to restore API compatibility in FF/TB 1.0.6, Mozilla 1.7.10.
- Only released for en-US.
- Need to improve communication with localization teams and set better expectations on simultaneous release.
- Several areas identified where we can improve the process for future releases; make the release goals and release sign-off process clearer.

*Release management in general*

- Trying to get longer time between final builds and actual release for QA
- Need someone on the technical side of the code, but also help in sorting out other issues ("arbiter")
- New "arbiter" role gives final decision on release questions - temporary until we figure out long term plan
- Do we one one release manager, or delegate to a different person each time?

*Firefox 1.0.6 API fix release*

- Fixes a bunch of API regressions
- 1.7.10 and 1.0.6 are in progress right now
- Builds on Saturday - got feedback and testing
- Today we are working towards giving source tarballs to Red Hat
- Red Hat will run it through their QA cycle and give it to their customers
- Aiming to issue this release tomorrow

- Localisers are very eager to get the release out
- Signoffs for 1.0.5 count for 1.0.6

*Firefox 1.1b1* (Deer Park)

- We've announced that we intend to branch for Gecko 1.8 next Tuesday, the 26th
- We need to be feature complete and mostly string complete for Deer Park.
- Long poles are the l10n dependencies and Jesse's security fix
- Check the Deer Park bug list
- Plan to release shortly after branching (1 week, August 1st?)

*Thunderbird 1.1a2*

- Thunderbird 1.1a2 released last week
- Testing thread in MozillaZine
- People don't realise it's an alpha, it's so good!

*SpreadFirefox*

- Email was sent out to all SpreadFirefox members notifying them of the hack.

- Serious overhaul of content in time for a big 1.1 push

*QA thanks*

- Thanks to everyone in QA who did so much work over the weekend
