Malaysian National News Agency Bernama has issued the following report:
A government backbencher Wednesday asked the government to probe into how the black metal MAYHEM music concert, said to be worshipping the devil, were allowed to hold a concert in Backroom, Kuala Lumpur on Feb 4, next year.
Datuk Idris Haron (BN-Tangga Batu) said the government should view the matter seriously as it seemed that drugs topped the agenda for the musical group from Norway, as depicted in the website: www.shyaithan.com, which provided information on the group.
"The advertisements on the concert have been published in the local papers," he said during question time at the Dewan Rakyat sitting here today.
In reply to the question, Deputy Internal Security Minister Datuk Noh Omar said even though the authority to permit the group to enter the country does not fall under the ministry's jurisdiction, he would present the matter to the relevant authorities.
"It is not under our jurisdiction but the views on this matter, I will take note and bring it to the relevant authorities," he said.
Meanwhile, in replying to a question from Bung Moktar Radin (BN-Kinabatangan) on the steps necessary to curb drug smuggling in the country, Noh said the government had implemented various law enforcement measures related to drug trafficking and abuse.
Noh said besides the hanging sentence, Malaysia also practised the arrest without trial in connection with drug trafficking offences.
This year alone, over 1,000 drug traffickers were arrested without trial while last year, about 2,700 were arrested for similar offences.

YAKIMA, Washington (AP) -- Authorities searched Saturday for four maximum security inmates who escaped from a county jail by climbing down a rope made of bed sheets, authorities said.
The inmates escaped Friday with five other prisoners who were quickly recaptured before they could leave the jail grounds, said Will Paulakis, a Yakima County Corrections Department division chief.
The four escapees include a 20-year-old man scheduled to go on trial December 5 on charges of second-degree murder, another charged with burglary, and two who were being held on second-degree assault allegations.
The inmates apparently escaped shortly after 5 p.m. through the ceiling of a cell in their unit on the top floor of the four-story main jail, said Cpl. Ken Rink, a Corrections Department spokesman.
They gained access to the roof and used bed sheets to slide down to the roof of the adjacent one-story jail annex, then jumped to the ground. A similar approach was used in a 1994 jailbreak.
One inmate was recaptured on the main jail roof, three were caught on the annex roof and a corrections officer spotted the fifth standing on the ground and tackled him, Rink said.
No injuries were reported.
The jail is located near the old train station in downtown Yakima, in central Washington. Some streets were blocked off in the area after the 5:20 p.m. escape, and officers asked nearby businesses to be on alert.

Jaring clarifies ‘nationwide’ coverage claim
PETALING JAYA: Barely a month old, Jaring's new broadband Internet service is experiencing some hiccups, with potential customers claiming that the new service is not living up to their expectations.
Lee Yan Chun, 25, said his hopes of getting Jaring’s Internet broadband service were dashed when the company said there were no DSLAMs (Digital Subscriber Line Access Multiplexer) in the area where he stays.
“This was the same excuse given to me by another broadband service provider last year,” the customer service representative told In.Tech in an e-mail.
Lee claimed Jaring misled the public when it said the company was offering a “blanket nationwide coverage,” when it only covered areas where incumbent telco, TM Bhd's DSLAM broadband ports were available.
In.Tech reported on Oct 27 that Jaring is now providing nationwide broadband Internet service.
Jaring chief executive officer Dr Mohamed Awang Lah was quoted as saying that with “the blanket nationwide broadband coverage, Jaring is fulfilling its role to provide broadband service to all Malaysians and increasing the rate of broadband penetration throughout Malaysia.”
When contacted, Mohamed said the word “nationwide” has to be taken in the context of the available telecommunications infrastructure in the country.
“It’s nationwide in the sense that the service is available in most parts of the country and not limited to particular areas,” he said.
He said Jaring had to depend on TM’s last mile DSLAM access to provide its broadband services in certain areas.
Mohamed said Jaring and other wired broadband Internet providers use TM’s “limited ADSL (asymmetric digital subscriber line) infrastructure to offer its broadband service.”
He said that if Jaring were to roll out its own broadband service, it would take some time to attain complete nationwide broadband Internet coverage, and would require high capital investments.
“Wired telephone infrastructure – through which wired broadband services are carried – can only be provided via TM,” he said, adding that this is the current state of the country’s wired broadband services.
“Even the incumbent telco took a few decades to achieve its current level of nationwide coverage,” he added.
Mohamed claimed “there is no way for any other service provider to install new wired infrastructure and have an instantaneous rollout.”
He said Jaring is also working on another way to reach other potential Internet broadband users through its wireless broadband connection. This method, he said, would be independent of TM's infrastructure.
Jaring is working on this method in phases and some time is needed before it is available nationwide, Mohammed said.
Meanwhile, another Jaring customer, Michael Tan, claimed that he was charged differently from what was advertised by Jaring when he signed up for its Internet broadband package.
“I was charged RM295 for a modem that was supposed to be free and a monthly fee of RM90 when it was supposed to be RM79,” said Tan, who has been subscribing to Jaring for the last 10 years.
Mohamed said Jaring will investigate this complaint. “If this is proven to be true, Jaring will refund the affected customer,” he said. – JO TIMBUONG

Man Calls Mom After He Was Reported Dead - Yahoo! News:
OAKLAND, Calif. - Anthony Sheppard shocked his mother this week with a telephone call, a day after he was reported dead. "When he called me I thought I was talking to a ghost," said Verna McCowan.
Oakland police on Tuesday bungled the identification of a man shot to death after finding Sheppard's identification card on the victim. Authorities alerted his mother of the shooting, and released the details to reporters.
Sheppard, 23, said he was shocked when he walked up to a group of friends on Wednesday who were crying while reading a newspaper account of his death.
The dead man was later determined to be Mark Martin, 26, of Oakland, who was identified by fingerprints. No suspects were arrested. Sheppard told authorities he had lost his identification card several years ago.
Alameda County Sheriff's spokesman Lt. Jim Knudsen said Thursday that police provided coroner's officials with the man's identification. No fingerprints were initially taken, and Sheppard's family was alerted.
"A day or two later, the mother calls and says, 'I just talked to my son,'" Knudsen said. "We're human and we feel sorry for what happened."

Wahai puteriku.. aku seorang bapa yang sedang memasuki usia lima puluh tahun..
Usia muda telah aku lewati aku tinggalkan kenangan, impian, amunan-lamunan dengan segala ujian-ujian dunia. Dengarlah ucapan dan kata-kataku. Ucapan-ucapan haq yang aku sampaikan secara jelas dan mudah.
Wahai puteriku….banyak aku menulis, sering juga aku menyeru dan mengajak umat untuk menegakkan akhlak, menjunjung budi pekerti mulia, membanteras segala bentuk kerosakan jiwa dan mengendalikan nafsu syahwat untuk melawan dan membanteras keruntuhan moral.
Semua itu berterusan aku sampaikan, aku tulis dan khutbahkan…..sehingga pena yang aku gunakan menjadi tumpul dan lidahku kelu. Namun tetap tiada hasil yang aku perolehi Kemungkaran tetap berleluasa tanpa kita mampu untuk membanterasnya.
Di setiap pelusuk negara perbuatan mungkar terus kita temui, semakin banyak dalam pelbagai bentuk Wanita semakin berani dan tidak malu-malu untuk membuka auratnya. Tubhnya ditonjol-tonjolkan, pergaulan bebas muda-mudi bertambah menjolok. Semua itu bergerak melanda negara demi negara, tanpa satu negara Islam yang mamu mengelak.
Sebagai contoh negara Syria yang terkenal dengan keserasian akhlak yag sangat ketat menjaga kehormatan diri dengan menutup auratnya, sekarang masyaALlah!!Para wanitanya berpakaian terbuka mempertontonkan lengan dan paha, punggung dan dada. Kita gagal, dan aku kira kita tidak akan berjaya. Tahukah engkau apa penyebabnya?
Sebabnya ialah sehingga hari ini kita belum menemui pintu ke arah pemulihan dan kita tidak tahu jalannya
Wahai puteriku, pintu pemulihan ada di hadapanmu. Kunci pintu itu ada di tanganmu. Jika engkau yakin padanya dan engkau berusaha unuk memasuki pintu itu, maka keadaan akan berubah menjadi baik.
Engkau benar puteriku, bahawalah kaum lelakilah yang mula mula melangkah menempuh jalan dosa bukan wanita. Tetapi ingat, bahawa tanpa kerelaanmu dan tanpa kelunakan sikapmu, mereka tidak akan berkeras melangkah laju. Engkaulah yang membuka pintu kepadanya untuk masuk.
Engkau berkata kepada pencuri : "Silakan masuk"…dan setelah engkau kecurian barulah engkau tersedar. Ketika itu barulah engkau berteriak .."tolong….tolong...aku kecurian."
Seandaiya engkau tahu bahawa lelaki itu adalah serigala dan engkau adalah kambing, pasti engkau akan lari seperti larinya kambing dalam ancaman cengkaman serigala.
Sekiranya engkau sedar, bahawa semua lelaki adalaj pencuri, pasti engkau akan berhati hati dan sentiasa menjaga diri seperti waspada seorang yang kikir terhadap pencuri.
Jika yang dikehendaki oleh serigala dari kambing adalah dagingnya, maka yang diinginkan lelaki adalah lebih daripada itu. Lelaki meinginkan lebih dari sekadar kambing……dan bagimu lebih buruk daripada kematian kambing itu.
Lelaki menghendaki yang paling berharga darimu…iaitu harga diri dan kehormatanmu. Nasib seorang gadis yang diragut kehormatannya lebih menyedihkan daripada nasib seekor kambing yang dimakan serigala.
Wahai puteriku….Demi Allah, apa yang dikhayalkan oleh pemuda ketika dia melihat gadis ialah gadis itu bertelanjang dihadapannya tanpa pakaian.
Aku bersumpah lagi: "Demi Allah, jangan percaya terhadap kata kata sebahagian lelaki, bahawa mereka memandangmu kerana akhlak dan adab. Berbicara denganmu seperti sahabat dan apabila mencintaimu hanyalah sebagai teman akrab". Bohong …bohong …demi Allah dia berbohong. Seandainya engkau mendengar sendiri perbualan antara mereka, pasti engkau takut dan ngeri.
Tidak akan ada seorang pemuda melontarkan senyumannya kepadamu berbicara dengan lembut dan merayu, memberikan bantuan dan layanan kepadamu, kecuali akan ada maksud-maksud tertentu. Setidak-tidaknya isyarat awal bagi dirinya bahawa itu adalah langkah awal.
Apakah sesudah itu puteriku?
Kamu berdua bersama-sama berasmara, menikmati kelazatan yang hanya sebentar kau rasakan….sesudah itu, dia lupa dan pergi meninggalkan engkau. Dan engkau..akan merasakan pahitnya daripada pertemuan yang sebentar itu untuk selama-lamanya. Dia pergi dengan diam-diam meninggalkanmu, mencari mangsa baru untuk dirayu dan diterkam lagi kegadisannya Sambil dia mencari dan menikmati mangsa baru engkau perlahanlahan merasakan sesuatu ayng berat menganjal di perutmu.
Engkau sedih dan muram.. Engkau bingung dan gelisah. Lelaki yang membesarkan perutmu itu tidak dituntut atau dihukum oleh masyarakat yang zalim, bahkan…..diberi keampunan dan dibiarkan bebas dengan alasan: "Dia yang dahulunya sesat, tetapi sekarang sudah insaf".
Tapi engkau……?
Engkau akan terus kecewa dan terus dihina sepanjang usiamu. Masyarakat tidak akan mengampuni dosamu.
Seandainya ketika dia mula merayumu, engkau tolak dengan sikap yang tegas……Engkau alihkan pandanganmu dari pandangannya……seandainya sikapmu itu tidak menghentikan usahanya dan malah bersikap lebih biadap dengan mengucapkan kata yang jelik dan menggunakan tangannya, cepat-cepat engkau gunakan tanggalkan kasutmu dan pukullah kepalanya……kalau engkau lakukan itu, pasti semua orang yang ada di sekitar itu akan serentak menolongmu.
Sesudah itu ……….Dia akan ngeri mengganggu wanita terhormat di jalan.
Wahai puteriku…….
Lelaki yang baik dan soleh akan datang kepadamu, dengan segala kerendahan hati, memohon kemaafan, menawarkan kepadamu hubungan yang halal dan terhormat. Dia akan datang meminang dan mengahwinimu.
Seorang gadis betapapun tinggi kedudukannya, betapapun banyak hartanya, betapapun hebat kebenaran dan pengaruhnya, dia pasti mempunyai cita-cita: "mencapai kebahagiaan yang tinggi iaitulah bersuami menjadi isteri yang solehah terhormat dan ibu rumahtangga yang baik."
Cita-cita seperti ini pasti diharapkan oleh semua wanita tak kira samaada dia seorang ratu,keluarga raja, bintang filem Hollywood ataupun wanita biasa.
Aku mengenali dua orang sasterawati dari mesir dan syria. Kedua-duanya bergelar tokoh. Ilmunya dikagumi kekayaannya melimpah ruah, tinggi kedudukan dan kehormatannya Kedua0duanya telah kehilangan suami, namun………….tiba-tiba hilang keseimbangan akalnya…….dan menjadi gila. Tak perlu aku sebutkan namanya, pastinya semua orang mesir dan syria sudah mengenalinya.
Perkahwinan adalah cita-cita paling tinggi bagi wanita. Jawatan wanita yang tinggi sama ada sebagai anggota perlimen, menteri atau bahkan sebagai presiden, tahapnya tetap berada di bawah perkahwinan.
Lelaki, pada dasarnya akan mencari wanita terhormat dan bukan wanita jalang atau yang rosak akhlaknya. Seandainya seorang lelaki bertunang dengan wanita yang baik tetapi wanita itu tiba-tiba berubah akhlaknya, menyeleweng dan masuk ke dalam perangkap nista pasti dengan segera lelaki itu akan pergi meninggalkannya. Dia akan tegap melangkah keluar.
Lelaki yang baik, pasti tidak rela melihat anaknya keluar dari rahim ibu yang keji dan apatah lagi untuk membesarkan dan memelihara anaknya.
Seorang pemuda jalang yayng bejat dan menjijikkan, apabila tidak mendapati mangsa gadis yang mahu mengorbankan kehormatan dirinya di bawah tapak kakinya dan menjadi alat permainannya……dan apabila dia juga tidak memperolehi wanita pelacur atau gadis lalai yang rela dengan agama syaitan dan iblis serta mengikut syariat binatang. Pasti dia akan mencari jodoh dengan seorang puteri yang perlu dinikahi dengan landasan sunnah dan syariat Islam.
Puteriku suasana seppi dan lesunya pasar pernikahan dan perkahwinan adalah kerana kesalahanmu sendiri. Jatuhnya pasaran dan nilai perkahwinan dan semakin [esat busa pelacuran juga adalah kerana perbuatanmu!
Lantas kenapa kamu yang berakhlak mulia tidak mencegahnya?
Kenapa para wanita yang mulia dan terhormat tidak memerangi musibah dan wabak itu?
Kamu, para wanita tentu lebih berkebolehan dan bertindak dari kaum lelaki.
Kamu sebagai wanita terhormat, mulia, memiliki harga diri dan memegang teguh agama, pada akhirnya akan menjadi mangsa dan kobannya
Hampir setiap rumah di bumi Syam terdapar gadis2 pada usia layak berkahwin tetapi masih belum mempunyai calon dan gadis yang lewat usianya belum juga bersuami.
Para pemudanya merasa puas dengan hanya berpacar-pacaran dan bergaul bebas daripada beristeri. Mungkin keadaan seperti ini juga terdapar di negara-negara Islam yang lain.
Wahai puteriku,
Dirikanlah wadah dalam bentuk lembaga dan persatuan dari kalangan kamu sendiri yang anggotanya terdiri daripada cendekiawan, guru dan mahasiswi. Wadah yang berusaha untuk mengembalikan wanita-wanita sesat kepada jalan kebenaran.
Ancam dan takutkan mereka dengan firman-fifrman Allah. Sekiranya mereka tidak mahu mendengar dan tidak takut lagi, maka berilah gambaran bahaya penyakit yang akan dideritainya..
Oleh itu, puteriku, Renungkanlah!

Applause
The soldiers are tired and lonely after spending weeks in enemy territory. To entertain them the Major called for this HOT number from the nearby town.
She came, danced and when the first dance was done, the soldiers went mad. They clapped for 5 minutes.
For her second number she stripped and danced in sheer bra and G-strings. This time the applause went for 10 minutes.
The next number she danced topless, and this time the applause went on and on. The Major had to come on stage and ask them to quiet down for the grand finale.

The Major asks her, "What happened? How come there was no clapping this time?"
She replied, "Major, how do you expect those poor boys to clap with one hand?!!?"
She came, danced and when the first dance was done, the soldiers went mad. They clapped for 5 minutes.
For her second number she stripped and danced in sheer bra and G-strings. This time the applause went for 10 minutes.
The next number she danced topless, and this time the applause went on and on. The Major had to come on stage and ask them to quiet down for the grand finale.

'Prison Break' producer found dead at Drake Hotel

A producer for the Fox network television series "Prison Break," which is filmed in a former state prison in Joliet, was found dead in his North Michigan Avenue hotel room Monday afternoon, the victim of an apparent drug overdose, according to authorities.
Matthew Houbrick, 42, of Calabasas, Calif., was found dead about 3:30 p.m., in his 6th floor room at the Drake Hotel.
Some white powder, believed to be cocaine or heroin, was also found in the room, a source close to the investigation told the Chicago Sun-Times.
It was unclear how long Houbrick had been dead, but a police source said a Hollywood producer was concerned about the man and asked hotel staff to make a well-being check. Police officials obtained the information about his job title, but Fox network spokesmen did not confirm Houbrick's death late Monday.
Worked on '7th Heaven'
The drama "Prison Break," currently in its first season, tells the tale of a man who robs a bank in order to get caught. This allows him to be sent to the same prison where his older brother wrongly sits on Death Row for an assassination. The younger brother plans a breakout for the both of them.
The series is filmed at the former Joliet Correctional Center, where generations of hard-core criminals served time.
Houbrick's credits include working as supervising producer for the WB's "Charmed" from 1999 to 2000, as well as other production work on "7th Heaven," the 1990s' series "The Love Boat: The Next Wave" and "Pacific Palisades," according to the Internet Movie Database.

Felice Beato
Felice Beato was a British and Italian photographer. He was one of the first photographers to take pictures in East Asia and one of the first war photographers.
