Nikki Sixx (Motley Crue) Writes Anti-Heroin Book

Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx is so determined to curb the growing number of heroin addicts - he's writing a book about his horrific experiences with the often-lethal drug.

The wild rocker legally died twice after two overdoses, and he's so grateful he's been given another chance he's writing The Heroin Diaries to deglamourize the drug and prevent others from making the same mistake he made.

He explains, "I was lucky and now, if I help just one kid make the right decision, then it's worth it.

"It's the woes from the time of my addiction. It doesn't paint a pretty picture.

"It may give people a new view. If I'd read it, maybe I'd never have stuck a needle in my arm."
