The Wall Street Jounral is reporting that Google is planning to announce Friday that it will begin offering video downloads from multiple major content providers via its video search. Partners are said to include CBS and the National Basketball Association.
Also said to be on the slate of announcements for CES attendees is a new bundle of software to rival that of Microsoft, dubbed Google Pack. Amongst its own products such as Google Desktop Search, Google Earth, Google Talk, Google's web browser add-ons and Picasa, the bundle is rumored to include the Firefox Web browser, a version Symntec's Norton Antivirus, Adobe's Reader software, RealNetwork's RealPlayer, Trillian from Cerulean Studios, and Ad-Aware from Lavasoft AB.
This new suite of products in one bundle follows Google's approach to being a complete service and software provider and will come packaged as one installer. The release would come on the heels of several Microsoft products that have, or are set to hit the market as the software giant races to the same objective of being the single resource for computer management and security.
