"Why are Apple's products successful?"
- Steve Jobs, Jonathan Ive, and Tim Cook
- They say "no" more often than "yes" - physical keyboard, flash etc etc
- They do not want to be all for all - they do not want to build inexpensive products so that they can get more customers.
- Packaging (app store etc.)
- Since they do less (features, product portfolio etc), they can focus on perfection and no compromise on the integrity of the product
- They understand the liability of more moving parts and hence provide a tightly integrated end-to-end solution
- They get the paradox of choice
- They get human interaction and interface
- They believe the customer/ user can not possibly know what they want
- One more thing - they get marketing
