An admirer of castles since he was a young boy, photographer Jim Richardson enjoyed exploring the grounds of the Denbigh Castle in North Wales, which stands atop a rocky hill overlooking the town of Denbigh. "Places like Denbigh are in a fine state of ruin and very romantic with great open green spaces surrounding them," says Richardson. "A fine place for a Sunday afternoon picnic."
